About
DEANNA FIELDING IS AN AUDIO ENGINEER BASED IN NEW YORK WHO MANIPULATES SOUND TO DELIVER IMPACTFUL SONIC EXPERIENCES.
Six years ago, Deanna embarked on a freelancing journey as an engineer with the ultimate goal of bringing sonic visions to life. To fully internalize studio techniques and etiquette, she has amassed hundreds of hours of experience in acclaimed studios both in Nashville and New York. She spent a rewarding 6-month period in 'Music City' (in which she had the privilege of working for Dolly Parton), flying in and out of recording facilities such as Blackbird Studios, Starstruck Studios, Sound Stage, LOUD Recording, and Curb Studios. The year following, she completed her degree in Music and Sound Recording in New Haven, Connecticut, and has since settled a stone's throw away from NYC.
She is currently a staff engineer at The Koop Studio in Irvington, New York and an editor/general assistant at Oktaven Audio in Mount Vernon, New York.
With a passion for the ethereal, the mystical, and the otherworldly, Deanna continually explores new ways to elevate storytelling through innovative and evocative sound design. Whether crafting the eerie screech of an apparition or shaping the delicate hum of a celestial portal, Deanna brings a unique auditory vision to each project. She crafts soundscapes that are both imaginative and visceral, utilizing a blend of organic recordings and synthesized textures.
Her portfolio includes the pilot episode of 'Conjure' (audio drama), 'The Third Act' (award-winning student film), 'The Mark of Morasai' (unreleased short film), 'Intrusive Thoughts' (short film), 'Christmas Cowboy' (feature film), and many more. Driven by a creative vision to translate imagined worlds into compelling sonic experiences, Deanna is eager to contribute her fresh perspective.
